a week after i gave this item a rating of 4/5 it crashed on me completely.
i lost 450 GB of data, pictures, music, and i had no back-up. im feeling devastated right now. PLUS this company is in the US. so to even give the warranty a shot id have to shell out at least 50-60 quid more.
Go for the seagate hard-disc. (atleast its got UK outlets)
Poor Quality

Bought mine in July and it has died. Makes a clicking noise like it's trying to turn itself on. That's 20 GB of music and film completely gone.
Broken already with 700GB gone**

I have had this for 5 weeks, for the time that it was working it was perfect. I was watching a movie last night and the file was on the drive ( so watching from the drive) then the movie stopsa nd the drive starts making loud clicking soulds. i powered down restarted and then it never showed again in my computer.
All my info gone. Cant trust it, if you buy it make sure you BACK up important irreplacable stuff elsewhere too.
