Portability
Imagine taking 160 books on holiday. Imagine having the right book on the train - whatever mood you're in. Imagine an electronic device that could hold your whole library. With Reader you can stop imagining. Smaller than a normal paperback, just 8mm "thin", you can pop it in your pocket and find the perfect read, wherever you are.
Revolutionary Display
Reader uses e-Ink technology to create the look of traditional print on its 6" screen so you'll feel like you're reading from paper. There's no backlight so there's no strain on your eyes, no flickering screen to distract you and, for a really relaxing read, you can even take it outside on sunny days.
Easy To Use
Navigating around Reader is simple, with functionality that's intuitive and straightforward.
Concerned about the text size? Don't worry. The magnifying function lets you zoom in on the text.
Worried about losing your place? The bookmarking button lets you mark pages to come back to. You can skip backward and forwards and read more than one book at a time without getting lost.
Going on a long trip? With one single charge of the battery you can turn nearly 7,000 pages.
Picture This
Reader can also display most common image and photo file types as greyscale images so you can see illustrations and pictures in books - even read a comic - as you would if it was printed on paper.
More Than Just A Good Read
If you want a break from reading or you like to listen to music while you read, put on your headphones and enjoy the Reader's in-built mp3 player. It's easy to import both MP3 and AAC files. Simply drag and drop files from your computer onto the Reader. You can create your own library of music and access it any time.
Store Thousands Of Titles
Using the in-built memory, you can store around 160 books - which is a lot of reading. But if that's simply not enough you can increase the Reader's capacity up to around 13,000 titles using MemoryStick DUO or SD Cards.
Huge Choice Of Titles Available
Hundreds of thousands of titles are now available as ebooks - fiction and non-fiction, adventure to academia. Thousands more are being added each month, and new titles are being added daily.

This was bought for me as a Christmas gift because I am always carrying about lots of reading material. Wondered if anyone else out there had this problem.
Was in the middle of reading a book on my ereader, had it just a few weeks only on 3rd book, when I changed the page the top right corner disappeared.
Contacted the seller, they sent us to Sony. Sony took it in, there was no sign of damage yet we were told the screen was broken and would cost nearly £170 to fix. It hadn't been damaged by us and there was no sign of damage visible except for missing top of screen. I read that someone else had this problem but they had dropped it, all my ereader had done was sit on my bedside table!
Play.com, no help just keep sending us back to Sony as we are covered by warentee, Sony, downright unhelpful and even want to charge us to get the thing back. Warning all thinking of buying this product, seems it must be treated with kid gloves, total waste of money
Fantastic bit of kit

Really impressed with this gadget as it saves so much room at home on the book shelf, also found a great place to buy Decal covers to customize my new toy from a seller on E bay called Wickedecalskinz really great quality and protection.
Attractive but not very practical.
